BUY IT HERE: Visit the location above - hours May through December are Monday through Saturday 10 am - 6 pm, and Sunday noon - 6 pm. Winter hours January through April are Thursday and Friday noon - 5 pm, Saturday 10 am - 5 pm, and Sunday and Monday noon - 5.
PRODUCER PROFILE: Bob started making wine in 1977 from fruit and grapes grown at his farmette in Michigan. After he and Peg married, they enjoyed wine making as a hobby. When the couple moved to Wisconsin in 1983, friends started wondering if they might consider selling their wine. They opened the Mineral Springs Winery in Mineral Point in 1990, and in 1997 consolidated the Mineral Point business into their current location in downtown New Glarus - New Glarus Primrose Winery.
PRODUCTS: Twelve varieties of wine created from Wisconsin and Midwest grown fruits - including grapes, cherries, apples, cranberries, and rhubarb. Popular varieties include Summer Wine (Wisconsin Red Tart Cherries), Holiday Wine (Wisconsin Cranberries), Fridolin White (German-Swiss style with white grapes).
