23rd Annual WI Regional Arts Program - Competition and Exhibit
Monroe Arts Center
A demonstration/lecture, judging and critique by a professional artist will be the focus of the artist workshop from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, the last day of the exhibit. This event is co-sponsored by the Monroe Arts Center and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Liberal Studies and the Arts.
Artists are invited to participate in the WRAP competitions and workshops held in various regions of Wisconsin throughout the year. This competition is open to all area non-professional artists over the age of 18. Work must be original; no molds or patterns from another artist may be used. Up to two entries per artist are allowed and all media are accepted such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, sculpture, fiber, metal, glass, wood, prints, pastel, digital, etc.
The State Award Winners selected from all 2010 WRAP competitions held throughout the state of Wisconsin will be on display at the University of Wisconsin Madison in September 2010, at which time additional prizes will be awarded.
Entry forms are due at the Monroe Arts Center by 4:00 PM Friday, January 15. Entry forms may be obtained by contacting the Monroe Arts Center or on the website at www.monroeartscenter.com. Artwork for the exhibit will be accepted only during MAC business hours from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday, January 22 or from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. on Saturday, January 23.
The entry fee to compete and exhibit artwork, and attend the workshop is $20. For individuals wishing to attend only the workshop on Saturday, February 27, a $5.00 fee will be charged at the door. For more information, call the Monroe Arts Center at (608) 325-5700.

Four guys performing classic songs with a modern a cappella twist. Tickets for this event will be available at each school office up until the day of the concert and then again at the door that evening. The prices are $7.00 for students and $10 for adults. All tickets are general admission, so no reserved seating. Doors will open ½ hour prior to the concert. A fund raiser for the Monroe Schools music program.
